In this recording:

  • Maxwell Beganim explains the set-up of the coalition
  • Natalia Carfi (Open Data Charter) discusses how openness in research and data availability can add value to our cause, and gives details of the ODC’s engagement with the COP last year through a side event. She also tells us more about the Uruguay 2100 project, which used open data to tell a story of how sea level rise will affect the Uruguayan coast by the year 2100.
  • Haydée Svab (Open Knowledge Brazil) details the development of the Diários do Clima (Climate Diaries) platform, capable of aggregating environmental policy data to help search for acts published by Brazilian municipalities. Using technological automation and open source software, they monitor official gazettes to identify the most relevant documents for those following the issue.
  • The conversation was moderated by Monica Granados (Open Climate Campaign).
  • At the end, there are questions and a chat with those present
